Great Value for a 12" subwoofer...

I had to decide between a number of 12" subs and after much research (Polk and JL Audio were my other choices), this subwoofer seems to fit my needs. The dual layer voice coil is unusual in a subwoofer as this is a better design than a four layer voice coil for accuracy. Out of the box, the subwoofer screams quality. A heavy cast frame, aluminum driver that weighs 25 lbs.I built a sealed box 18" x 18" x 19.5" with the matching Dayton Audio HPSA-500 500-watt subwoofer plate amplifier. A sealed design offers tighter and quicker bass response over vented designs, with a roll-off at 50-Hz that needs to be compensated by the amp.The cabinet was built using 0.75" MDF with a 1.25" front baffle (laminated a 0.5" and 0.75" MDF together). The amplifier was in a sealed separate enclosure within the sub box to prevent any issues with the air pressure from the subwoofer itself. The box was heavily braced to eliminate any resonances. The end result was a 75lb subwoofer which surpasses any sub in its price range (~$420). The end Qtc was about 0.635 (Qtc determines how tight the bass is. Under 0.707 is tighter, higher is boomier)The subwoofer is extremely tight and can pressurize a medium sized room with no problem. The bass response is very extended once the amplifier is configured correctly (you need to set bass to +6dB at 35-Hz, bandwidth 0.27 on the amplifier as a sealed sub has a fast bass roll-off below 50-Hz). The subwoofer performance easily beat out my Polk PSW650 or Definitive Technology SuperCube 6000 (which costs twice the price of the Dayton) subwoofers that I had used previously.PRO:* low price* great quality* excellent specs* large magnetCON:* it's going to be a heavy sub* low Xmax spec has to be considered in box design, sealed is preferableNote: if a 18" subwoofer cabinet is too big, you might want to consider the sister sub, RSS315HO-4, which is designed for a 15" cabinet. Hard to beat, really

It was down to choosing between this and the Fi-SSD. I chose this unit, and cannot find anything bad to say about it. Well, it is kind of heavy and my standard 10" grill that I had a on a previous sub would not fit over this sub.I am not an audiophile, but I knew I wanted a clean, precise sound in my car, with tight, accurate bass. I always needed it to fit in a pretty small sealed box, and this sub performs incredibly considering my requirements. I don't like subs that take up the entire trunk, I just wanted a balanced sound. This sub was recommended on an audio forum, and I can see why. No matter how much bass I throw at it, it just takes it and spits out clean, unmuddied bass.The construction of the product appears very simple, and it's not a flashy sub, which I like. The RMS on this unit is 600 watts! In a small enclosure too!Bang for the buck is high on this one.

cant get enough of it, best for the money hands down

I had done couple weeks of hard research (internet only) before decided on buying this sub. I have it for 2 months now, hooked up to JBL GTO5355 250watts and i could not be happier with it. I put it in sealed 0.7 cubic foot enclosure. I was not looking for tons of bass, rather accurate and crisp bass, occasionally be able to go loud and this sub met my expectations 101%. The sound is warm, crisp, clean, very transparent, perfectly blends with my speakers without overpowering. Frequency range is very flat, response top notch. It handles DnB tracks with fastpacedd bass without a skip, very accurate. Thou it does not give you this boom you may need in electronic music, but again i have it sealed, i am sure that in ported box it would sound twice louder, too loud for me. Hip-hop also sounds good, very articulate and powerful, with lots of punch. Not loud but very punchy. And by "not loud" i mean is not shaking store displays outside, but loud enough so you turn volume down after 10 seconds (waaay beyond comfortable listening level even if you like it loud). Overall, for that kind of money i would recommend this sub to anybody, i am so happy with this purchase i will not be looking for anything else for a long time unless it blows, which i doubt because build quality is very solid. And if it maters for some - it is American made! :) If you are on the market looking for budget, quality sub that can occasionally go loud, don't waste your time looking, just grab Dayton HO. Compliment with some good speakers (recommend ID ctx65cs's) and you would be looking for a reason just to drive your car again. 10/10

The Joker in all his glory of madness!

I purchased this statue together with the Batman statue from the cartoon series The Batman. They both compliment each other perfectly. The Joker statue is quite colorful, sturdy and well made. However, as with all statues/ maquettes they are all very fragile and is not a toy. That is why I gave a low rating for durability. But if you are a collector this is understandable and expected. This item is meant for display purposes only. The statue stands approximately 8 inches tall and stands well on it's own. The paint application is perfect. The colors truly bring this character to life. Straight from the screen to your shelf. If you are Batman or Joker fan then you should get this . And if you have The Batman maquette then you should get this to one too, as they compliment each other and completes your collection. This ones for you go get it before they are all gone. It's a limited edition and will increase in value over time so don't waste time get it now!

Great game and workout!

I bought this toy for my 4 year-old son because it was on sale for $5. I thought, if the game sucked then the sword itself was worth $5. It turned out to be one of the best toy purchases I've ever made! My son loves playing it and on days when he can't go out to play, it gives him a good upper body workout. The top of our TV sits too high for him so we have to tilt the motion/light sensor thingy angled down. We also had to buy an adapter, which it didn't come with but the manual tells you exactly what kind to get, because the batteries didn't last too long. Aside from those two things, I think this game is great for kids and adults alike! Oh yeah, this is the only, what I consider, "violent" game my sons owns. It doesn't have bloody and gorey scenes nor does it contain profanity.

Lots of Fun

This game is great - lots of fun. Everyone that comes over has to try it. My three year old likes to play, but it's not just for kids - I can't seem to leave it alone for long. I'm stuck now, but getting better. I wish there were an online forum to share tips. I can't seem to kill the major bad guy at the level I'm at (Lurt?). Luckily, you get better with practice. I would like to have given 5 stars, but the graphics are not the best. I was impressed at how responsive the sword / electric eye is. As long as you calibrate it properly, it works really well.

Tons of orc slashin fun.

Picked this one up on sale at a Kaybee Toys in my area. You get a sensor base and a plastic sword. The sensor picks up all your movements in real time. You slash vertical, horizontal, and diagonal all in real time. As you progress you get special moves that are executed by several sword swipes in succession. The game picks up your movements in real time which is pretty impressive. There is a ton of strategy here as you have slash, block, and counter attack. The varied enemies all have different attack patterns, strengths and weaknesses. There are some really cool boss encounters as well. My only gripe is the graphics arent so hot. I grew up on the atari 2600 so this isnt an issue for me but for some, it might be. I highly recomend this game if you are an old school gamer who loves solid gameplay more than good looking graphics.
