A real pretty gitar. By string bender This guitar is amazing. It is very crisp and bright so it is great for finger picking. Taylor is the new premier guitar maker. I was going to get a Gibson but they don't have different size necks. The neck on a Taylor, which is real ebony, is not even glued on so a repair guy can change the angle in ten minutes. Also the fretboard and neck continue up into the body, intead of the neck stopping and the fretboard resting on the body. When a neck bends it caused a bump at the 14 fret. Taylor has fixed this problem. Their pickup is the best. Research it before you spend money. The 300 series is the cheapest line with the expression system (yeah!!) A mint vintage Gibson is worth 100,000 and that is why they are not changing there technology. But there is better technology nowadays. Why not use it. The finish on a Taylor is UV cured in ten minutes. This shaves 3 days and a bit of money off the cost of the guitar. The wood doesn't warp in those three days. Also, the finish only has ten minutes to sink into the pores. I think that has something to do with the tone. I own the 314ce and it's bright tone is great for finger picking and strumming. The dreadnaught is supposed to be better for pure strumming. The best guitars for tone are supposed to be Gibson, Martin, Taylor and Takamine and all have a pretty large list of pro players but Taylor is taking off. Look at the list on there website. There are some other good one out there. This guitar is too sweet though. I never feel the need to review almost anythng but I am going to copy this and paste it on the other Taylor guitars, not just the 314ce. --pickup, neck finish and TONE! 8 of 10 people found the following review helpful. Beautiful sound! A pleasure to play! By Michelle - Seacoast NH So enjoyable to play. I play folk, finger-picking, strumming, and I'm learning a little classical. Everything sounds good from this guitar. Also really beautiful craftsmanship. Gorgeous wood! 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Beautiful Guitar! By Alex James I've been playing my Taylor 314ce for about a year and a half, and I absolutely love it! I play in local bars and pubs 3-4 times a month, and the 314ce has never let me down. It sounds great, and is nice and clear in the mix. The guitar plays and sounds fantastic! The woods and finish are beautiful. I'd buy this guitar again in a second!! I ordered one 20-piece set, as I wasn't sure if I would like it and figured paying for return shipment on one set would be cheaper than multiple sets.I love the weight and feel of the flatware. I specifically researched heavier, casual flatware. (I found a website that sells flatware and had a specific page listing the heaviest sets out there - Gingko Firenze was listed. They were selling the 20 piece set for more than Amazon, though.)The price here on Amazon, I think, is an awesome deal!I gave 4 stars, and not 5, for this reason: the knife handles. Another reviewer seemed bothered about hollow-handled knives that came with this set. In my research, it seems that (for stainless flatware) hollow-handled knives are of better quality than solid knives. The maker can use hollow handles and insert higher-quality knife blades, rather than stamping the whole solid knife out of one piece of metal. In fact, looking at Ginkgo's own site (where they sell Firenze, but again, at a higher cost than here on Amazon,) they sell both solid knives and hollow-handled knives. The hollow-handled knives are more expensive. So in my limited, internet-researched opinion, one would WANT hollow-handled knives.I was looking forward to getting my 20-piece set with hollow-handled knives, but my set seems to have solid knives. Oh well - it's still a great price, and really, the knives are the least used pieces of our flatware. So for getting solid knives instead of hollow-handled, I gave the 4 stars instead of 5.As for other reviewers' comments on the balance of the flatware and having them fall off of dishes - I don't know. My flatware is usually on the table, and if I'm walking around or clearing the table, I tend to make sure the flatware is fully on the plate.Overall - great price, great look and feel, very happy! I just ordered a few more 20-piece sets! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Wonderful! By peonies&fireworks I was having quite a time replacing my silverware. I wanted service for 12, 18/10 stainless, heavy, and minimal design. I also had a very modest budget. This flatware has been great; it fit all of my requirements and then some. And with the four for three promotion, I was able to get service for 16! The knives are very sharp without being serrated, and they feel great in the hand. I personally feel that the larger spoon is a little too large, but it certainly isn't an issue.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. As I've only had this flatware for a couple of months, I can't really attest to their wear. I will try and update in 6 months to a year.UPDATE 1/15/12:I've had this flatware for about 6 months now, and it's really holding up. Really, my only issue is that there are these little spots on them. It could be the flatware itself, or it could be my terrible terrible dishwasher/city water/detergent. Using barkeeper's friend, though, the spots come right off. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great flatware By Paula This flatware is very heavy, which is why we chose it. The knife blades are sharper than typical and not serrated. We noticed two issues though: the knife handles are hollow and don't feel like the rest of the set. A couple of handles had minor but noticeable rough spots on the ends. Originally I gave this set five stars because when I ordered it the cost was seventy-six dollars. Now that it's selling for one hundred thirty-five dollars, it's over-priced. Overall, we're very happy with this purchase. See all 6 customer reviews...Latest Price: See on Amazon.com! Buy Taylor Guitars 312ce Grand Concert Acoustic Electric GuitarTaylor Guitars 312ce Grand Concert Acoustic Electric Guitar Product Description:- Solid Sitka Spruce Top

Product DescriptionThe all-solid Taylor experience begins with the updated 300 Series®. The 300 Series is truly the performer’s workhorse, combining technology and craftsmanship with understated style. Customer ReviewsMost helpful customer reviews 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. A Great Guitar! By Bradley The Taylor 312ce Grand Concert is an excellent guitar. It has a crisp, clear sound and feels nice and light in your hands. The body is simply gorgeous. Each curve is precisely constructed and shows an extreme attention to detail. The neck is also something to marvel at. It feels so comfortable changing notes and allows you to slide up and down the guitar with wonderful ease. The guitar also comes with the Taylor Expression System, which produces a full, dreamy sound when playing through an amp. This is a small body guitar through and through. The depth and length are thinner and shorter than most acoustic guitars, so it might take a little getting used to. Yet it still manages an impressive sound. The neck is also slightly shorter than most acoustics (24 7/8 inches versus 25 1/2 inches). This is the same scale as a Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul, which is fine by me. I had seen a few reviews where people said that this guitar is mainly only for finger-style playing, but I don't agree. While finger-style does sound wonderful, this guitar can handle hard strumming and everything in between better than almost every acoustic I've played. By William Up until recently, I used Pearl Hardware exclusively, which I have always thought was great quality and was always happy with. While I was in a local drum store, I looked at Gibraltar's hardware line and was VERY impressed! Not only is their hardware of exceptional quality and design, they also LISTEN to their customers about what THEY would like to see in their products. What an amazing product line! I am so pleased with the hi-hat I purchased I decided to go for a new snare stand and bass pedal as well. My next move will be to switch to Gibraltar's "Spider Rack" configuration I found on their website.HIGHLY RECOMMEND these products! 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Buy DW Drum Workshop 5000 Series Delta III Accelerator Bass Drum Pedal with BagDW Drum Workshop 5000 Series Delta III Accelerator Bass Drum Pedal with Bag Product Description:- Aluminum hex shafts
- Pedal plates and linkages
- Stackable heel plate
- Dual/side-adjusting hoop clamp W/ Built-in spurs
- 101 2-way beater
Product DescriptionThe 5000AD3 features a host of refinements and upgrades to its original, performance-proven design. The legendary DW 5000 Series bass drum pedals have remained The Drummer's Choice and the standard of the industry for over a quarter of a Century. The workhorse 5000 Delta 3 Series now features an Accelerator (offset) Double Chain & Sprocket along with aluminum hex shafts, linkages, dual/side adjusting hoop clamp, 101 two-way beater, built-in spurs plus all the versatility, adjustability and reliability that allow you to customize the feel and performance to fit the way you play. DW's patented Ball-Bearing hinge is the state-of-the-art in hinge design and the beginning of our Delta Tri-Bearing System. The ball bearings virtually eliminate friction while keeping perfect alignment so you can feel the footboard working with you. The Accelerator (A) Drive System offers an eccentric motion that creates an indirect relationship between the sprocket and the footboard, increasing the velocity of the pedal by shortening the length of the stroke. It is recommended for situations that require increased speed and sensitivity. Customer ReviewsMost helpful customer reviews 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Failed after 9 months By Prill Lake I bought this to replace my noisy Yamaha pedal. It took awhile to get used to, but I (was) very happy with it until it started recently making noise and playing less smooth. I isolated the sound to the rocker bearing. After some research, this part seems to be of faulty design and is the limiting factor in an otherwise sturdy pedal. You may want to contact DW to see if they've updated this part since May of '11. The 5 year warranty does not cover 'moving parts', so I guess I now need to buy a $30 replacement part. Not what I was expecting from the 'industry standard'. 5 of 7 people found the following review helpful. DW Drum Workshop 5000 Series Delta III Accelerator Bass Drum Pedal with Bag By Drum 247 I dont know why only 1 of 3 rated my review as being helpful...? (two rating this NOT helpful... "DOGMA" maybe?)I AM BEING HONEST AND GIVE THIS PEDAL KUDOS... BUT (read on)Pros:1) It is a VERY WELL MADE pedal, no doubt about that.2) It is also very smooth and quiet.3) ALOT of professional drummers use this pedal because it is so well made and smooth (I was at LACMA friday night Jazz a few years ago and Peter Erskine was using a DW single pedal *fyi*)4) SOLID VERY WELL MADE - it will last a lifetimeCons:1) It is PRICEY.2) It is difficult (FOR ME) to play because:The heel plate sticks up so far from the ground that it gets in the way of my playing and is VERY uncomfortable for me. The height of the heel plate in comparison to the level of the floor is VERY noticeable. I CANT relax and play it. Again, it gets in the way and makes it difficult to play, in fact this is why I dont play this pedal. The height of the heel plate gets in the way and for me makes it unplayable. The heel plates ARE interchangeable (you can purchase additional ones of varying thickness). However, when I did own this pedal the screws on the bottom side holding the heel plate in place were frozen in a locked position. You need to use a Philips (+) screw driver to undue them, and MINE started to "strip" BEFORE I could untighten them.If you do take off the heel plate (assuming youd want to of course, or even were able to) then youd have to purchase the one youd like to put on the pedal and this would be more money spentThe pedal I use and find better, for 1/3 the price is the Tama Iron Cobra Jr pedal (the JUNIOR pedal, not the Iron Cobra pedal). It is the best pedal I have ever played. It is well built, SMOOTH, quick, great responsiveness, and WAY CHEAPER (pricewise) then this DW pedal.I find the Iron Cobra Jr to be better than the Iron Cobra pedal because it is smoother and lighter. It is a VERY smooth pedal, and quiet. EASY to play, NO LACK of quality! It is also around 1/3 the price of the DW Drum Workshop 5000 Series Delta III Accelerator Bass Drum Pedal (fyi)I give THIS pedal 4 stars because of its construction quality, it WILL last years of use and still function perfectly because it is so solid and sturdy - VERY WELL MADE! ALOT of pros use it. It will literally last you a lifetime. However: In my opinion so will the Iron Cobra Jr. though (fyi). It is just as smooth as ANY pedal out there (if not more), it is VERY responsive and easy to play... SMOOTH and quiet. Two sides to the beater as well (Plastic one side, felt the other). There are ALOT of pedals out there - take your pick!I hope this review helps you decide! The only real way to know is to PLAY ONEHappy drumming 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Bad clamping mechanism By A.N This pedal has real good action and is pretty responsive , as long as it stays in place. The problem is that the clamp to attach it to the bass drum is a very poor design .It is a two phase process :You turn a wheel to lift the back end , and have to tighten a fish-hook shape ( point sticking up ) under the back,It will never center and is just barely holding the clamp in place , resulting in the entire pedal rotating off center time and time again .I always have to re-adjust it at least once during practice and between songs during gigs .Its also real fragile , ( always transport it in a case ) . The slave pedal chain got bent a little , and greatly effected the action .I had to pay $180.00 to get the chain replaced , and the drum tech ( top guy in l.a for all the top drummers ) was complaining how bad the design is , you cant just replace the chain , you have to replace the entire foot plate because the chain is attached to the footplate .He also pointed out I was not right about the clamping mechanism - it is a poor design .Ive used this pedal since 2005 , it is too late to return it , otherwise I would . Go with something else . See all 6 customer reviews...Latest Price: See on Amazon.com! More Info: See on Amazon.com! See Customers Review: See on Amazon.com!

A stunning, refined watch By D. Murphy My husband purchased this unique and utterly stunning watch for me over for the holidays. It's my second Baume Mercier and it is exceptional. I truly love the unique bezel and the diamond on the crown. The bezel is domed; the part that makes it distinctive is the left and right side of the sapphire bezel raises in an arc above the casing. The casing sweeps low in a curve holding the diamonds. The face is mother of pearl and has Arabic numerals in the 12, 3 and 9 position. The date is offered in the 6 position and is rather small. Some may find it a bit too small to read. This watch is rated to 30M, which means if it is splashed with water, you do not need to worry. The Diamant line is fairly new, I believe it was introduced in spring of 2005. It has a classic, yet modern look. I feel comfortable wearing this everyday. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Baume & Mercier Watch Review By S. By Chad Sparks Probably the single best oil money can buy. This oil consists of mostly Group V base stock, which is why the price is so high, even among "boutique" oils. But if you are a racer or run a car very hard that is already tough on oil (turbo's, direct injection, etc, are brutal on an oil) this may be for you. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Hasn't let me down under extreme demands By G. Churchman I am pushing 400 WHP (horsepower at all four wheels, not at the crankshaft horsepower, which is the usual rating), from a turbocharged 2.5 liter engine, on road racing courses, with sustained high RPMs for 20 minutes periods. In one day that is like driving 80 miles while you brutalize your engine for all it's worth. In approximately twenty such days I have never had an oil related failure. This is not your everyday oil for your daily driver. It is a low viscosity range oil for a high pressure, high performance, high temperature engine.Keep that in mind. It is not cheap, so there are better, more cost effective synthetic oil options for a street car. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Great Extreme Engine OIL ! By Todd B.
