5UNBEATABLE Deal !!!
By Restrorob
Mastercool 66661 Brass Manifold Gauge SetI'm retired from the auto biz, When my 30 year old R12 Matco gauge set broke during a job I went to Matco on-line. They showed what looks like this exact gauge set for $150.00, Sears showed the same @ $111.00. More searching and I found these, They fail to mention these are MADE IN THE USA !!!There's no plastic crap on these babies to break, Metal gauge housings and easy connect adapters reduce leakage when installing/disconnecting.Best of all, The 1 year warranty and they come with a COMPLETE replacement parts break-down and 800 number should you need ANY part for them.Tooltopia was Awesome getting them out too, Ordered on Sunday afternoon and received Wednesday afternoon. A+++ Seller

4Nice Set of Guages
By Jimbo111
Well made, accurate, have everything but a plastic case to keep them in which is why I gave them 4 stars. Also, would like to see an "off" valve on the quick disconnect, but this is a quality set of gauges. Not sure, but the cheap Harbor Freight ones still seem a very good buy. Don't think the quality of the gauges is as good, but still a pretty good set for the money and if I hadn't gotten these on sale would get the Harbor Freight ones. At least these are made in America, and buying them keeps an American work on the job.

5A+ Customer Service
By Stephen A. Hiller
Just got them yesterday and the pick end of the 164fg hammer wasn't perfectly rounded. I was a little annoyed given how much they cost so I called the customer service # on martin's website. The person I spoke with in the tool and forge department couldn't have been more helpful! They are shipping me a new one ASAP at no cost and they don't even want the other one back. I assumed they'd want me to ship the messed up one back at my own expense and they would send me a new one once they had received the defective one. Sadly this is how many "lifetime" warranties work today, but the guy from martin told me that in cases where they want the damaged item back they still ship the replacement immediately and pay return shipping on the old one as well. This is how customer service should be done! With regard to the tools themselves, these hammers and dollies are every bit as nice as the set snap on sells for $510. I'm an autobody student so I get a large discount from snap on and even with tax and shipping these were still about $75 cheaper. Also you can't get the snap on set with fiberglass handles which are nearly unbreakable and are a lot thinner right below the head than hickory handles which can really be handy in tight spaces. A lot of people don't like the additional shock absorption of fiberglass vs. hickory as it does reduce the feel and feedback of the hammer but I'll gladly take that trade-off for the thinner handles. Needless to say the hassle-free customer service has sold me on martin tools and I will undoubtedly be buying more of their body tools in the future...

5The don't make them any better than this!
By Gerald L Weath
These USA made tools. Yes they are costly, but you get what you pay for. I suspect I will hand these down to my son when I can't use them anymore. And I wouldn't be surprised if he hands them down to his son or daughter. I'm tired of throw away products, especially tools. I feel we should all buy the best we can afford. Products that are made by US workers and not the slave labor in some foreign land. I couldn't be happier with this tool kit. If you are serious about auto body repair, these are the tools for you...and your kids and perhaps even theirs.

5One terrific piano and three very good ones
By Dr. Mike
FYI, since writing this review a couple of years ago I bought an acoustic piano (a Charles Walter, which is an excellent value in an American-made piano). Everything I said about Akoustik Piano still goes--it's an incredible program. Having been spoiled by the fact that Akoustik Piano is always in tune, I've ended up calling in the tuner/tech about 4x/year to keep my piano spot on.Here's my Akoustik Piano review:This review is based on release 1.1.2 (released January 2007). While the version reviewed in December 2005 may have been a "beta" quality release, it's ready for prime time now. I'm running Akoustik Piano as a stand-alone instrument and outputting it to a mid- to high-end stereo system through a USB 2.0 audio interface. It runs flawlessly on my Macbook Pro with the samples stored on the laptop's internal drive. My MIDI keyboard controller is a Kawai ES3 (which works well).I truly doubt any software "instrument" will ever replace a top quality, well maintained large or concert-sized grand piano. That said, the quality of these samples is truly marvelous. When I go to my lessons and play my teachers' Boston, it only reinforces my opinion that nobody using this program need feel that they are playing anything but a high quality, meticulously tuned and regulated "piano." One precaution, though. I have become a tuning snob since I've started using this program. It's great playing pianos that are simply dead on every time. Once you do, you will realize how many pianos are not--even in professional musicians' homes!!This program contains 3 sampled grands and a nice upright. The Steinway is the best of the three. Maybe that is because the real thing is so great--it's my favorite among acoustic pianos. Initially I thought the voicing on the Bosendorfer was too bright, but it has grown on me. I like using it for Bach in particular--with the piano "well-tempered." The Bechstein is nice, too, but the D5 (2 D's above middle C) and Dsharp5 are a little bright, which can be irritating. I'm not sure where it fits with my repertoire relative to the Steinway which I love and the Bosendorfer with it's unique and special sound. However, if it were the only grand included with this program, I think most users would like it. The upright piano is fun and sounds neat. I don't play it much except when I am demonstrating the program to curious musician friends, but I can see how some people would find it ideal for their style of playing. The user adjustments and controls in this program are useful but not overkill. I particularly like being able to change the velocity curve of the keyboard. There is plenty of information on these available at Native Instruments' and other "professional" review sites, so I won't bore you. Of note, though, I have tried some of the non-modern tunings on Bach, and they really work well on pieces written for the "well-tempered" piano. If you're playing more standard repertoire, stick to equal or stretch tuning, though, as the other tunings will simply sound out of tune on Beethoven, Chopin et al.I did a fairly extensive tryout of Synthogy's "Ivory." In my opinion, Akoustik Piano is a WAY better product. Ivory CONSTANTLY accessed the external hard drive, creating a lot of noise in the process. Ivory's interface allows you to control every aspect of the program's sound--so much so that it is very confusing and difficult to navigate. Akoustik Piano's adjustments are limited to those most important to me. Ivory's Steinway is not nearly as good as Akoustik Piano's. It sounds as though it were recorded through a fog. Ivory's Bosendorfer sounds a little more like the real thing on the bottom end--if you've ever played a real Bosendorfer, you'll know what I mean. Initially, this is very enticing. But I tired of it after a while because the top end of the piano lacked the clarity of Akoustik Piano. Of note, the MIDI velocity utility in Ivory is better than Akoustik Piano's. It lets the user control the minimum, maximum touch on the keyboard and all points in between. There have been a couple of reviews which compared the two and gave the upper hand to Akoustik Piano but were a little more kind to Ivory (notably Electronic Musician). In my opinion they had to say something nice about Ivory since Synthogy is spending a lot of money on advertising in their pages. The reason I selected Akoustik Piano over Ivory was that the system requirements are not as demanding, THE STEINWAY SOUNDS GREAT (did I mention the Steinway is really nice?), the controls are easier to use, and it was available with academic pricing (a fantastic deal if you qualify!). If you have a really high-end computer, an extra hard drive (that's quiet) and the Bosendorfer sound in the bottom couple of octaves is very important to you, your decision might be more difficult.I never tried the initial 1.0 release of Akoustik Piano. Apparently it was pretty rough. Fortunately the Native Instruments improved it and I think it is safe to say that it's the top software piano at the moment. Hopefully they will keep improving the product and maybe add some interesting pianos--ala Synthogy's "The Italian Grand."

5Excellence
By David M. Berriman
This piano takes up tons of hard-drive space, and requires a minimum of 512 MB of RAM to run smoothly (plan to have 1G+ of RAM).But it's sensational.I've been after the "perfect piano" since I began playing keyboards in the early 80's. This is it. The way the notes linger on forever...the way they engulf one another without creating a mish-mash of noise, the way the pedal sounds, etc... it's all captured here....beautifully.I can't say enough. For under $[...], you can have some fabulous pianos at your fingertips.a sample of it, from a piece called "Spirit of America", can be heard at [...]

4Bought it for a great price - well worth teh money
By Nigel Bellis
Bought these grand pianos after reading several favorable reviews for around $75 which i think was a real bargain, especially as they were currently being repackaged and sold individually for a lot more by the software makers. The pianos are a mixed bag but it was worth it just to get the Steinway D which is a beautiful overall sound. The Bechstein D is outstanding in the two octaves above middle C and really sounds like a Bechstein here, especially if you are playing fancy Liberace style arrangements. But it's weaker outside of this range. The upright piano and 3rd grand are OK but nothing special and will get far less use.The inbuilt reverbs are ok too.The software is pretty heavy on CPU use. It opens up offering 50 voices but frequently I will drop it down to 40 or less to avoid audio pops. And I don't notice any notes not sounding or cutting off too soon as a result. There is a nice damper pedal sample too for authenticity - just gives you that ultra soft strings ring as the pedal is released.Previously I was using the grand pianos provided by Reason software which come with the Reason program, and I still use them - as different types of Grand sound suit different songs. But in conclusion to obtain a very good representation of a grand piano for $75 is well worth the money.

5Great product
By A Customer
I was diagnosed with Perioral Dermatitis by my dermatologist in Nov '03. She indicated it is caused by toothpaste (I was using Colgate TOTAL for 3 or 4 years) and I needed to use plain old-fashion toothpaste with NO "bells & whistles" and I had to take antibiotics to cure it. Dermatologist also tells me their office is seeing more and more of this due to all the fancy new toothpastes coming out on the market.

Internet research on the diagnosis led me to Squigle Enamel Saver toothpaste. It is truly mild. During the years I used Colgate TOTAL (which I loved because my teeth felt sooo clean), whenever I used plain old regular Colgate it would taste like bland cardboard to me and I'd go right back to the TOTAL. Now that I've been using Squigle for over 4 months, when I pick up my husband's regular Colgate, it burns my mouth. Remember, this is the regular colgate that tasted so bland when I was using ColgateTOTAL.

Another thing I noticed after using the Squigle for a couple of months---I don't need the daily flouride treatment for my sensitive teeth anymore. Last week I used regular Colgate once a day in addition to Squigle the other times of the day, and my teeth are becoming sensitive again. Evidently there is *something* about Squigle that keeps my teeth from being sensitive. Not putting more flouride in my body is fine with me.

Interesting note --- the only other 'active ingredient' in Colgate's TOTAL is "triclosan." Before I was diagnosed I had switched face moisturizers and the newer one really irritated that rash on my face. Triclosan is listed as one of the ingredients of the newer moisturizer. I hate to toss a $30 bottle of Clarins moisturizer, but I do NOT want Perioral Dermatitis again.

Triclosan is an anti-bacterial agent used in soaps and many other products, to prevent bacteria growth in the product itself. I my case, this is probably what caused my particular case of Perioral Dermatitis and I'll have to read ingredients labels for the rest of my life.

This toothpaste is pricey but worth it to me.

5relief!
By Emily
I do not get ulcers, but when I use sodium lauryl sulfate toothpastes my tongue and cheeks get severely irritated and even begin to peel. This toothpaste has given me complete relief from my maladies and I can't be happier! The only annoyance is that I can't buy it in stores.

5This is one AMAZING toothpaste!!!!
By T. Diaz
never thought i could get so excited about something like toothpaste, but wowee is this stuff great. i had developed a sensitivity to toothpaste containing sodium lauryl sulfate, which would induce outbreaks of very painful sores on my tongue. after doing some online research, i found squigle.it tastes great, leaves my mouth feeling very clean, is very mild and just perfect. the only negative i can think of is the price--but it's worth not having a painful mouth all the time.

5Very nice skates
By KelliLynn
I purchased these skates a couple years ago from another web site. They are great skates, feel great on the feet. All around nice quality. I was a very serious skater when I was a teen and owned a pair of $300 Rydell skates..I paid $135 for these and they are just as good. I skate with my daughter now.

Product Description

The Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Surf custom-bridge for Strat would be equally comfortable in the smoky clubs of Chicago's West Side as hanging ten at the Malibu Pier. The Antiquity II Surfer is hailed by many members of the Seymour Duncan User Group Forum as the ultimate pickup for vintage Strat chime and quack. Whether you play Blues, West Side Soul, Surf, or Jangle Pop, the Surfer has the sweet highs and percussive lows to give you and your Strat a Free Ride on the Way Back Machine without sacrificing output or versatility. The Antiquity II Surf for Strat custom-bridge is for those players needing more output from the bridge position. To some, this is craziness, intentionally creating an aged electrical component. But if you're like Seymour Duncan, and you appreciate the personal commitment and hand craftsmanship found in early electric guitars, then you'll want to capture that timeless beauty with an Antiquity pickup.

5Bright output for lead work with a beautiful vintage tone
By Cliff Adams
I placed this pickup in the bridge position, along with the reverse wound/reverse polarity SD Antiquity II Surf (in the middle position) and a standard "Surf" version of the same pickup in the neck position, on a MIM Classic '50's Series Fender Stratocaster. Selecting this pickup alone give a quick bright lead tone without needing to adjust the volume on the guitar. These "Surf" pickups used together are a beautiful sounding set: full "quack" from the neck alone, deep humbucking with the neck and RW/RP middle, full tone from the middle, brighter humbucking from the RW/RP middle and custom bridge, and a penetrating shimmering chiming brightness from the custom bridge alone. Surf, killer blues, jazz, rockabilly... just about everything a Strat player would want -- except distorted overdrive; the vintage tone is not meant for heavy metal. This is the tone I wanted, at a louder output than the stock pickups.
