Just what the doctor ordered!

Wow, I love this new pump! I bought my Hometrac used from another site and have used it for several years. My original pump must have been bad from the time I first got the unit. I would have trouble holding pressure and I had to frantically pump to increase the pressure. In a matter of seconds, the pressure would start dropping. It would lose about 5 psi or more per minute. Since the unit was always like that from day one, I did not know it was not supposed to do that. The problem started getting worse over the years and I figured I'd try and replace the pump and see if it made a difference. Wow, what a difference!Now my unit holds pressure perfectly. It only takes about half a pump up to a full pump to increase the pressure by 5 psi. My old pump would take about 10 pumps in rapid succession to build 5 pounds of pressure. The pull now, with the new pump, is solid and firm. The pressure gauge does indicate about a 1 or 2 psi pressure drop per minute, but I think that's more a function of my neck stretching than the unit actually losing pressure.This new pump totally transformed my Hometrac, it now works like it was intended. If yours loses pressure, then your pump is probably bad.Installing the new pump was very easy. I just had to unscrew the little cap behind the gauge, where the hose goes in. I then slipped off the hose, and cut off the stretched out end. Now I had a perfect, unstretched segment of hose to slip over the new nipple of the new pump. It slid on without any problems. Just be sure to snip off the stretched end of your hose so it will seal properly when attaching the original hose to the new pump. If you notice a metal ring on the hose when you remove the pump cap, take that off, because the new metal ring is in the new pump. You can see it if you look in the back of the new pump. That ring secures the hose to the pump nipple, and you don't want two of them on there. I tightened the new cap and that was it. It probably took about a minute or less to install.I've used my unit twice now with the new pump and my neck feels much better. The results are better than before when my unit would refuse to hold pressure.A couple things to be aware of. My old gauge was marked with a red "danger" area between 40 and 50 psi. This new gauge is not marked with the warning. So I would not recommend going up to 50 psi, and this pump will do it and hold that pressure with no problem. Another thing is that when this releases pressure it does it fast. So you need to gingerly move it between pump and release, in order to slowly lower pressure. After a few tries you will get the hang of it.One thing I did was put some lithium grease, that is safe for o rings and rubber, on the shaft. This helped it slide smoother. I'm not sure if it's recommended to grease the metal shaft of the pump or not, but so far it hasn't caused any problems. It also made it slide smoother and quieter. Just make sure that whatever you use to lubricate the shaft is safe for rubber.The only downside is this pump is expensive. But then the whole unit is quite expensive, so it's not a surprise that replacement parts are pricey. Also, this pump is a little difficult to find online, so it's a good thing that Amazon sells it. This will really come in handy if you bought a used unit that someone sold because it doesn't hold pressure. I'm not sure how long this new pump will last, I hope it lasts for a long time.If you are having trouble with your unit holding pressure, you need this pump.

have smaller set

I have this set in the smaller version and i love it. The discription should say 3/8" to 1-1/4. It's made in India but I read an article that they are the top foreign country to have a positive view of the USA. So if you are on a budget and you want a high polished chrome set of combo wrenches, this isn't a bad choice. At least you aren't supporting a country that hates us.

Product description lists wrong sizes

I hate posting a review without owning something, especially having to pick a star rating -- but I want to help other potential buyers, so here it is. If somebody tries this wrench set out, please post a detailed review and maybe I can delete this one completely later on.The Amazon heading says that the smallest wrench size is 3/4 of an inch. The manufacturer's product description does not list the specific sizes in the set, which is bad -- the only wrench set I've seen here that fails to provide such necessary information.Okay, so you go to the photograph, which is fuzzy even when enlarged. At the bottom end the 3/8" looks like 3/4" if you aren't paying attention. But if you look closer you notice that there are smaller sizes next to it, and then further over, the "real" 3/4 inch wrench. Oh!You still have to decipher the numbers in the picture to find out what you're buying in the in-between sizes. The manufacturer and Amazon should both be doing a better job for customers, seems to me.I also could not find any information about a warranty, so if that information turns up, I hope somebody will post it. Meanwhile I hope this is useful to other shoppers who, like me, are lost among all these competing wrench sets and trying to figure out if any of them are worth buying at this point.P.S. At the bottom of the fuzzy photo it looks like the word "India." If so, that's presumably where these are made. For a price like this I doubt anybody is selling U.S.-made wrenches anymore. So I think I might be okay with India, of all the possible source countries, since I just had to return some total junk Stanley wrenches made in China. Again, a first-hand review would be better but I hope this helps.

Does a nice job!

My wife and I have found the chair very pleasant to use and helps keep our backs flexible. Like all good things too much can make you sore, which was real tempting, but not a problem. With the Amazon rebate and special Friday only price it was a real deal for the money. We also like the fact that it doesn't take up a lot of floor space. Some of those massage chairs are more like a sea captains chair, this one doesn't.

Love My Chair

This is the best massage chair I have tried. I have minor scoliosis in my neck area and have chronic muscle knots in my shoulders/neck because of it. So getting regular massages & stretches is a must. One of my favorite features is the stretch feature that I've never seen in the other chairs. It also comes with an additional pad if you want to soften the massage. My family & friends have commented how they wouldn't have known it was a massage chair because it has the look of a regular recliner. So it blends in nicely with my living room furniture.There are two reasons I didn't give this chair 5 stars. The first is because, if I could add a feature to it, I would add a heating element to it. The second reason is because even though this chair gives a good massage...nothing can substitute for a real massage. This chair comes the closest that I've seen to achieving that goal, though.

Great Massage Chair

I purchased this massage chair as a gift for my wife. It is a very attractive piece of furniture, made of high quality materials. The massage functions are comprehensive, and can be customized for whatever ache you are feeling. The controls offer several varieties of massage technique, massage width, and stretch controls. The leg/foot massage function is OK only. Overall, however, it adds to the experience of the chair.The chair is big. You will need a fair amount of space for the auto recline and stretch functions. Also, their are some spots on the back that can't be reached by the chair's massage functions. Not a major defect, and I'm not sure that any other chair is better, but still requires a human massage every so often.

Beautiful

I purchased this watch as an anniversary present. The watch shipped very fast, and there's no need to worry about packaging. It comes in a secured box, and inside the box has a little pillow that the watch is in, and it was not damaged.The picture doesn't show it too well, but there is a lot of gold artwork around the watch face - which really adds to the beauty of the watch. the dark blue color complements the silver and gold watch itself. It took me awhile to figure out how to adjust the band as my wife's arms are small sized. There are small arrow etching on the links. You just have to use a pin and push down really hard on the small buttons on the link in the direction it's pointing. a pin will come out and then you can take the link out to shorten it. It requires a lot of force to do it, but the watch band is strong enough to handle it.The clasp has two buttons that get squeezed down - and it actually opens out in two directions. It gets a little difficult to put it on one handed - when I push the button down to put one end in, the other end will sometimes fall out - but there's much worse watch clasps out there. The fact that two buttons have to be pushed down and the clasp is folding inwards makes it much harder for it to open accidentally which is a definite plus.My wife loves it, what more can I as for?

After 16 years, I'm replacing with the same model

I've had this watch for the almost 16 years. Love everything about it. I've replaced the battery once and the crystal twice. Finally, after I accidentally drowned my watch for the umpteenth time, it died and I am about to purchase the same model AGAIN! The weight is great, the two-tone goes with everything and this baby keeps on ticking! Must buy!

Excellent, attractive watch

I bought this watch 5 years ago and chose the two-tone finish because I wear gold, platinum and silver jewelry and wanted a watch that would go with all. You can't go wrong with a Seiko. I've yet to change the battery. It keeps excellent time, it's attractive and the finish still looks new. I only wish it had a sweep second hand, but that's a minor complaint.

An Excellent Watch With One Small Criticism

My wife commented to me on the attractiveness of this watch, something she has never done before as she doesn't own a watch, and has no interest in them. It is a beautiful timepiece.What can you really say other than what is listed in the specifications. It works just fine, and keeps perfect time.So, what is my small criticism? There is a lot of gold and white coloring on the face of the watch, and there is a lot of gold and white on the hands. The problem is that at certain times it is somewhat difficult to distinguish the hands from the background. If you have perfect eyesight this might not be a problem. My eyes are decidedly not perfect. Gone are the days when I can surreptitiously glance at my watch while listening to some boring conversationalist. I generally have to bring the watch to about a foot from my face to read the hands.Still it is a great watch, and I feel compelled to give it a full five stars.

A Stunning Wonder!

If you've come this far and are reading this you're instincts are right, there is something about this watch that makes it stand out and sets it apart from the myriad silver and gold watches out there.First of all, the picture does absolutely no justice to the watch, the pic you see on amazon is a simulated image, it doesn't capture it's real beauty and refined elegance, a picture can't do justice to it because of it's reflective nature.Seiko has crafted a gem of a timepiece with this watch, with so many features at such a comparatively low price- it easily looks at least worth a couple grand, you will not find a quartz watch like it out there. I had reservations about the size of the dial and date window but it's perfect, the size and fit is perfect even on my small 7 inch wrists after removing a couple links (which btw was a very quick & simple DIY).Seiko should be more vocal about the accuracy of this watch which is amazing, I've synchronized it with the atomic clock from the National Institute of Standards and Technology or NIST (www.time.gov) and to my amazement it's only lost a sec. in 2 weeks!It has a sapphire crystal which is almost scratchproof, it can only be scratched by another mineral or sapphire, water resistant to 100m, stainless steel and titanium carbide coated, kinetic powered- it's charged by the normal motion of your wrist (powered by the world's smallest ultra- sonic motor), it can also be charged by gently shaking it in a 20 centimeter arc at 2 shakes per sec and you can feel the crystal oscillator spinning inside which is super cool. The most amazing feature about the watch is that goes into a sleep mode after approx. 24 hrs. of inactivity and comes back to life with the perfect time with just a couple of shakes!Since it never needs a battery change there is little need to open the case which eliminates problems like dust or dirt getting into the mechanisms or damage to the water-resistant seal, coupled with Seiko's legendary reliability I can say with surety that it'll definitely outlast any other watch in your collection and possibly you too! haha*Update 11/03/07* I've had it a month now and love it, the watch face was a little distracting with all the gold but I'm used to it now and it's a huge hit at the office.This is my first ever Seiko and I can say with surety that I will be a Seiko guy for LIFE!

Fades in the stretch

I wore this watch happily for about a year and a half. It is a handsome timepiece, it feels extremely solid and it kept perfect time . . . until it didn't. This is the second Seiko kinetic watch I have owned that has begun failing to keep and hold a charge after a relatively short period of use. The second hand started skipping in two-second intervals (indicating a low charge) and shaking the watch back and forth as recommended in the instructions only keeps it working normally for a few hours. The kinetic-electric mechanism in Seiko watches is fine in principle but it doesn't appear to be reliable in the long run.
