5GREAT CYMBAL!!!!!!!
By Henry Vargas
I have been a professional drummer for the better part of 25 yrs. and have spent thousands of dollars on cymbals as most pro drummers without sponsors, looking for the perfect pairing of cymbals/tones and that can take forever,,, I play Sabian AA, AAX and HHX cymbals, along with a few Wuhan chinas that have great tones and wash and so being happy with my Wuhan chinas, I decided to try the Wuhan 18" crash/ride, since it was cheap it wouldn't be a great loss of money,,, after playing several shows with it indoors and outdoors, I LOVE IT!!!, it does have alot of wash when hit aggressively and also responds and sounds well when played lightly,, if your a drummer who plays dynamically you will appreciate this reasonably priced cymbal........

5Great Cymbals
By john
I have been a touring drummer for most of my life.. it makes sense to buy a good product for a great price... if you play out a lot and have to replace stuff...other cymbals can cost 100's of dollars more and cymbals as we know don't last forever so replace them with something that does not break the bank and sounds just as good and looks great..they take a beating!!

5Outstanding
By john
These cymbals rival any other cymbals out there. They sound so pure, & so responsive with great decay & tone. You want a kick ass cymbal you can pound on, that can cut through loud rock of any kind this is it. You can't beat the price either. The brilliant finish will also add to the way your kit looks. 5 stars from me. I've been playing drums since 1965 so i know what i'm talking about. You can't go wrong if you buy one or more of these cymbals. Get them now while there still cheap because the word is out.

5Hard Top Carrier
By Market525
Nothing fancy, but does the job. Rack assembled easily in less than 30 minutes. Fit the bill perfectly for me, as our C6 had the "dual top" option -- and not wanting to haul the spare top around all the time, I needed somewhere to safely store the top. This fit the bill. Also included was a cover - which was a very ample size - which was a definate bonus. Worth the money.

Product Description

Not to be confused with UV-blocking filters that photographers normally refer to as "UV Filters" this one passes UV A radiation (320 to 385 nm), but blocks visible light and looks pitch-black to our eyes. It is used with appropriately sensitized films in such applications as ultraviolet reflection photography in forensics or in materials research, but also as filters on UV-emitters for fluorescence photography. Depending on the illumination and on the film's sensitization. The filter factor is in the range of 8 to 20.

4Nice Filter
By Gregory A Ferdinandsen
UV refelected photography is very much a niche. Since this filter lack's reviews, I figured I'd add one. This filter is constructed as good as any B&W filter, it's thick, heavy, and screwings in cleanly. No complaints about quality.Since you can't compose a scene using this filter, it only passes 320nm to 385nm, and only when looking at the brightest light can *you* see anything. Also, you can't use it in live view (like the R72 filters by Hoya). So after composing and focusing, you have to put the camera in manual mode and dial in an acceptable image. Obviously, a tripod and cable release is a requirement. But if you are looking at this filter, you probably have both. The only reason I give it four stars and not five, I was hoping to get more artistic shots with it. I was hoping that like an R72 it might change the colour of foliage, but it does not (that I have found thus far). Also, much to my surprise, the image in very red, like an R72, even though this blocks all but the most violet of violet of light.I plan to play with it some more, maybe try it under a black light, play with it in an urban and rural settings. I think it has potential. But I would not advise getting one unless your camera bag is full. For the money, you would be better off buying something that would get occasional use than something that get rare use.

5Paragon 4-oz Theater Pop Popcorn Machine
By Karl Lucas
I bought this recently for hosting movie nights at my home (with 10-12 guests). I decided to spend a "little" extra for an American made product and couldn't be happier. It's built like a tank, easy to use (remember- the popping kettle is hot!), has a fairly quiet motor when running, and simple to clean. It is well worth the price difference from imported poppers- for example, the Waring popper that can be seen at major retailers is much smaller and looks like an easy bake oven when comparing materials and construction. The Paragon popper could almost be described as a "saleman sample" size of a commercial machine- which is really is. I ordered it on a Monday (refurbished, factory direct) and received it Wednesday, shipping from Iowa to Ohio!I'm now experimenting with various oil combinations Canola/corn, etc. for the best taste. The combination packages of oil/popcorn/salt/flavoring taste too much like what you get in theaters!

5American made!
By movie junkie
I did quite a bit of comparison shopping and decided on this machine and can't be happier. When I took it out of the box I was amazed at how well made it was, and felt happy that I had chosen to pay a little more for a very great value. My sister has another brand the same size but made in china and it looks and is cheaply made. This one has a warming plate on the bottom, a light, old maid catcher, and a higher watt kettle than most. I've tried the pre-packaged corn, oil and salt for this popper and also measured my own from bulk. Personally I like the theater taste of popcorn, so I use 3 tbsp of coconut oil, a heaping 1/2 cup of corn and a slightly heaping tsp of flavacol (flavored salt). If you're looking for a popcorn machine, do american workers and yourself a favor and buy this machine or one of their larger ones.

4Almost perfect
By J. Lambert
After researching many machines I got for Christmas a Paragon TP4 machine. The look of the machine is awesome, the kettle is top notch. The taste of the popcorn with coconut oil is awesome. However I do have some criticism and wanted to post them. Overall all the machine is good so if you don't want to hear them read no further just go but and buy it, it is a good machine.1 the kettle has a pin to remove it that is great for cleaning but there is no way to disconnect the power cord so it hangs there and whacks the side it would just make sense to have plug you and pull out so you can take the little out of the machine instead of cleaning it and pulling on the wire. Would make replacement a lot easer as well.2 The door is horrible. This is the worst part it makes the whole machine feel cheap it is a really thin piece of flexy plexy glass. The stainless steel catch try can scratch it, there should be a protector there or a better design. My door had a deep gauge within 20 min of people looking at it and playing with the tray with out the door fully open. How hard is it for them to put on a glass door or at least a thicker plexy glass door so it doesn't feel cheap.3 Needs a vent. The instructions tell you to crack the door when it is pooping to let the moisture out. Really! The popcorn flyes out of the machine on the floor. Maybe in the bigger machines it is not an issue because there is more room around the kettle but in the 4oz because it is a small machine it is. How hard is it to design a vent in the top or side that you can open and close.4 Now I am being picky, but the stickers are on crooked, I swear they must be drunk when assembling these. So much for American made quality I think I would of preferred a Chinese machine with straight stickers. I need to call Paragon on this one to see if they can send me stickers. Take some pride put the stickers on straight.5 This is just me but for the price the warming light should be a LED. Or a nice rope light around. It should also be a separate switch and dim so I can turn it on for looks in my HT without turning the heaters on. It is to bright durning a movie now I need to turn it off which I bought the machine to look nice, and when you turn it off it kills the heaters.6. Warming element is off to one side below it would be nice if it warmed all the popcorn evenly.7. Old maids tray is useless. It has a couple of holes in the middle but it is not where the popcorn lands in this machine and when you scoop you scoop agents a side so it pushes the unpoped kernels there. So there is more on the machine then in the try when done. The whole bottom hold be a olds maid tray or at least near the corners. Again probably better on the bigger machines. That's it for now for a company making these machines for years I'm surprised at the lack of refinement in the machine. But the popccorn still tastes good.

5Infinity Flute - Reliving my youth!
By Ingrid Bruns
I bought this flute for myself. It is beautiful! I am 40-something and have a family. My children play the violin and I have been wanting to play music with them. I played the flute from 4th grade through high school, but foolishly sold my flute when I graduated. This attractive and high-quality sounding flute has enabled me to relive my youth and to make beautiful music with my children.

4Good Music for the Money
By M. A. Bradac
I've owned this flute for over a year, now, and have been constantly impressed with its tone, workmanship, and appearance. The cork stops tend to come off a little too easily, but replacement cork bits are included. This is an excellent starter or practice instrument, particularly for its price. Highly recommended.

5Lovely Flute
By A. Burstall
I bought it for my daughter who started in the Jr High band, thinking it was a low-cost way to judge if she were interested in continuing or not. Despite the low price tag, it has a lovely tone, makes a perfect starter flute and my daughter loves it. It was cheaper to order this flute, which she may have forever, than to rent one from the school for the year.

5"Mmmm, POPCORN ! ! !"
By K. P. Coffaro
...I can almost hear somebody exclaim whenever I look at this heavy, well-constructed, state-of-the-art machine. I bought mine from a non-Amazon dot-com store, distinguished with another banner, but it's the same model and color scheme, fire-engine red frame with a deep blue bonnet. The metal bric-a-brac helps hold your full snack cartons on top. It's a simple, classic design that grows on you with each passing day.The Original 1911 is producedby Paragon, makers of the best theatre-style popcorn machines around. You have to be somewhat of an afficionado to fully appreciate it. These machines are designed to make popcorn quickly and efficiently, the crispest and fluffiest possible, with no toughness or excess unpopped kernels, at the same time providing an attractive display. They are very durable and made to withstand commercial use, justifying their high price.Being hotter than most home popcorn makers, you must use a fat or oil with a saturated and/or monosaturated structure, such as refined lard, coconut, peanut, or soybean oil (Wesson is a decent brand), so it won't break down under the heat and BURN. A high "smoke point" is not enough. We tried extra-virgin Olive oil, the only remotely suitable thing we had in the apartment. Just ordinary store-brand yellow popcorn. With 1/4 cup oil, the maximum amount (you can use as little as 3 scant tablespoons) there was some smoking after popping, when the oil residue began to burn off. Even so, the popcorn was as promised: light, completely popped, easy on the teeth. Canola oil is highly recommended, as well (must be a glut in the U.S.), but we find it too fishy for our taste. Our only complaints were a couple areas of scratched paint inside from improper packing; also, some small parts were thrown in loosely and hard to find. The kettle lid was scuffed in the middle. The kettle lever was very stiff and hard to turn for about the first thirty batches, but is gradually getting looser. The 1911 4-oz model doesn't feature a warming deck or "old maid" drawer to catch unpopped kernels as most other Paragon models do. However, you can buy perforated popcorn scoops that help serve the function of the old maids' drawer. Plastic is probably best to prevent scratching the lovely glass case and stainless steel food deck. A set of long-handled metal measuring cups would be handy, too.Otherwise, the Original 1911 makes the grade. In fact, better than advertised, as it also pops WITHOUT ANY OIL, a wonderful surprise. I've had 2 inexpensive air poppers burn out, and they took FOREVER to fill the bowl; the appliance literally spit the kernels out two or three at time. Dry-popping is only half as slow in this machine. (With oil, the kettle just about ExPLODeS.) I heard you can use up to 6-ounces raw kernels (about 7/8 cup) and not overload the shallow kettle--the popcorn overflows anyway--but can't find this in any product literature. The main hazard is using too much or the wrong type of oil. Though this method, which eliminates the smoke problem, can dirty the kettle with carbonized bits of fluff, an occassional oil batch helps keep it smooth and nonstick. We suspect popcorn hawkers, who pushed a machine nearly identical to this along the streets at the turn of the 19th century, used no oil originally. Rather, the still-hot kettle was employeD to melt fresh butter, which was then dumped over the bin of popcorn below. There's nothing like lightly toasted, natural popcorn tossed with real butter and just a little salt. Make sure you wipe off the kettle and stirrer thoroughly if you try this, though, as regular unclarified butter, which contains milk solids, will burn when you pop the next batch.Of course, you must use a special popping oil for genuine movie popcorn. Dyed yellow and usually coupled with a butter-flavored salt like Flavocol, it was probably developed to save time and money, enhance appearance, and avoid unnecessary messes at the show. Concession stand operators traditionally prefer coconut oil (really coconut FAT) for the best flavor. Without some oil or butter, salt and other seasonings won't stick; oil-popping also produces the largest buds, yielding a bigger volume. If the popcorn's too chewy, and you did leave the door slightly ajar as instructed to let the steam escape while making it, try adding salt AFTER popping, rather than during. As I said, this does pop very quickly. However, if I had the money, I would purchase a Paragon with a bigger-capacity kettle--6, 8, or even 12 ounces--so it's not necessary to keep reloading and cleaning it for a large quantity. For a concession stand, you need a 12-ounce single or double kettle. The 6- to 12-ounce Jukebox is BEAUTIFUL and a popcorn lover's dream. At home, where we tend to eat more, you can expect one 4-ounce batch to satisfy only two to four people; this works out to one kettle ounce per person, maximum.Professional poppers are especially nice if you have a family or rec room or long snack bar, as even the smallest model takes up considerable space and, 24-inches high, won't fit under most wall cabinets.I also recommend you purchase the matching cart. It's not only a touch of nostalgia and class, showing off your fine machine, but lends extra storage and sturdy wheels withwhich to move the 50-lb appliance around.

5Great addition to our home theater
By westielove
We really enjoy our 1911 popcorn machine. We've had it for about 2 year now and it makes great tasting popcorn in about 5-6 minutes. The first couple times we used the machine we followed the manufactures instructions to preheat the machine for several minutes then add the ingredients. (We use the pre-packaged popcorn packs). Both time the popcorn burnt and there was a lot of smoke. Now we Do Not preheat. We add all the ingredients, in the popcorn pack, to the kettle first, then turn the machine on. We get great popcorn everytime and very little smoke (you always get a little). We turn the machine off immediately when the popping slows down and dump the remaining contents of the kettle. If you let things stay in the kettle then you'll get more smoke. Sounds like a lot of work but kids really enjoy watching it pop and the popcorn tastes just like theater popcorn. Clean-up is easy. We just wipe everything out with a paper towel and occassionally I use a vinegar based glass cleaner on it to get rid of the oil residue. We just wipe out the kettle after each use with a paper towel. I bought a special kettle cleaner for when there is hard to clean residue on it, but so far I haven't needed to use it. I think because we wipe it out good after each use. It's more work than microwaved popcorn for sure, but the taste is much better.
