Peaceful way to end each day
By Kayrah
Way back in 1945, when I was in the third grade, my friend and I used to play on my neighbor's glider. I thought that glider was the most wonderful thing in the world, and I decided that someday I would have one of my own. Now, I can proudly say, at the ripe old age of 75, I have my own glider. My daughter put it together by herself in less than four hours, then I painted it a beautiful green to match my other lawn furniture. The next day, we were gliding away, sipping our iced tea, while I told my stories of the past. I love to watch my grand-children play on it just like I played so many years ago.
