4Magnificent
By SerpentSatellite
The largest and definately most impressive of the two McFarlane dragon series.Again, for collectors who like to keep their items boxed, this dragon will be far less impressive. Does not display well in the box, and requires assembly.Good luck to everyone on assembling this, by the way, I hope yours fits together better than mine! It took two people to push the wing into its joint, and it still isn't completely flush. Bits of the dragon rip your flesh off while you try to pry that wing in. SHARP and not for children or play! The saddle straps on the back of the dragon were also ripped on the dragon I received and had to be glued. Always makes me sad to receive something broken, and with most 'action figure collectibles' once you open them, there is no exchange. (This policy needs to be removed... I have lost MUCH money on factory defective and broken-when-I-bought-them items!!!)The stand/long peg also present some issues... my dragons non-articulated legs are too tight on the base peg, giving the figure a little lean; and the base is a bit too small to accomodate the great weight and wingspan of the dragon. You have to tilt it into the wrong direction to stand at all, and then be very careful.Problems aside, this figure displays beautifully, and is my new favorite of all the Dragons. Still impresses me everytime I see it.I have heard rumors of a greenish version (mine is purple), but not seen a picture...Amazing figure, highly recommended, just not very durable.

4Beautiful piece, but somewhat concerned about assembly
By Kenneth Higginbotham
This piece, the sixth and final figure of the second series of Todd McFarlane's Dragons, is quite remarkable and beautiful to look at. It finished off my collection (at least until the third series comes out!) and it only adds to the splendor that McFarlane intended with his dragons. However, that being said, I only wished there was some kind of instructions to come with it. Now, I realize that there are only three or four pieces total to assemble before it's complete, and three out of the four I managed without difficulty; it's the collar around the next that's managed to confound me. There's no peg and hole to close it around the neck, nor any form of clasp. Only a forked end and another end with a hole. Now, how does that work? Let me know when you find out.The wing to assemble may also be a hazard to younger buyers, as the claw-tips are rather hard and by no means stunted at the ends. Be careful as to how you handle it when you push it into the socket (and I do mean push--it's no easy feat), for it's possible to cut yourself on them.Once assembled, pat yourself on the back for your effort, then be sure to set it up in such away that it doesn't lose its balance, as it's done as much several times. I've had to tweak the dragon on its pivot a few times before I found the find the right balance. But don't worry should your dragon tip over. It's pretty durable and hard to malform should it be placed in an awkward position (and don't we all just hate it when plastic malforms!). For that, it gets points. If you're into dragons or are a Todd McFarlane fan, despite its minor shortcomings, this is a piece worthy of your mantle. It's a four out of five.

5THE BEST IN SERIES 2?!
By Pen Dragon
Awwww, a dragon that is in flight. The Eternal dragon Boxed-set, in my opion, captures a dragon in flight beautifuly. McFarlane finally did it! The dragon has a 20" wingspan and stands, just under 10". This dragon also has a rider on it, but not human. He appears to be a minataur. He is well designed sitting atop a saddle. The dragon has a spiked collar as well as strapes to hold the saddle in place. The wings are NOT transparent, but it has a fairly good paint job. I won't lie, THE WING IS HARD TO SNAP IN! (WARNING - Be careful not to break the harness while puttin in the wing) If the wing won't fit, shave a LITTLE of the nob off, and super glue it in (I Highly recommend model glue). Besides that, this boxed-set is EXCELLENT. It looks great with the other dragons as well as by itself.
