Designed by Siro Tofolon, renowned designer of serve ware and flatware. The Pineapple has been the symbol of hospitality since the 15th and 16th centuries. When seamen on whaling ships returned home from the South Seas, they would place a pineapple at their front gate. This would signal to all neighbors and friends to celebrate their successful return. The tradition continues today with the Pineapple motif often carved in doorways and entryways to welcome friends and neighbors. It has become the international symbol of hospitality. This 20-piece place setting includes four each of the following; salad fork, dinner fork, dinner knife, dinner spoon and teaspoon. Made in Korea of 18/0 Stainless Steel. Dishwasher Safe. Ginkgo. Not entirely made in USA

If you are looking to buy this specific flatware design because you saw references to it on the web that it is made in USA, then beware that this may no longer be the case. (Note: Even Ginkgo touts this design as made in USA, [...]) In my order, only about half to two-thirds of the pieces were made in USA, the rest were made in China. Disappointing for sure, but welcome to globalization. Otherwise, the design is elegant and uniquely stylish with good balance and feel in the hand.

We've used this flatware for about 2 years and have been completely satified with it. It has a solid comfortable feel, cleans up well, and still looks new. Recently purchsed this 20 piece set to replace a few pieces that went missing and it is the same quality as our original set. 16 of 20 pieces were Made in USA - the dinner knives were not stamped one way or the other so perhaps the whole set was. Worth the extra money - something you use everyday.

Just the best! Beautiful flatware with a nice substantial weight. Feels great in hand and is incredible quality for the price. Looks and feels much more expensive. Very happy with this purchase in every way. Thanks!
