The ROBUSTA is uniquely versatile because it is 3 PUMPS IN ONE. 1) An Automatic Pump: The unique hand/auto switch makes the pump suitable for manual or automatic operation. In auto mode the pump has a built-in level control that will turn the pump on when water in the sump is at approximately six inches and will turn the pump off at approximately two inches. 2) A Manual Pump: The unit can be used in a manual mode to fill or remove water from puddles or sumps. 3) A Floor Sucker: The bottom screen and float housing can be removed so the pump can be used in manual mode as a floor sucker with water removal down to 1/8th of an inch. Robusta 200 W/TS : 1/3 HP; Has 1-1/4" discharge 5.6A @ 115Volts. Useful for basement & industrial sumps for water removal, drainage of buildings, pumping rainwater out of lower level rooms, portable use pumps to fill or empty containers of every type, use in drainage pits to maintain dry conditions and basement pump out.

Worked just fine for 23 months

This sump pump seemed to be doing just fine, pumping water out from below my basement during and after rainstorms, but died very suddenly 23 months after I bought and installed it. The pump was used about 4 or 5 months per year. The warranty was for just one year, and when I wrote to the manufacturer, they basically said tough luck. I think a pump like this should last a lot longer than 23 months. I recommend buying a sump pump with a longer warranty.
