must have piece of equipment

I am a professional performer and educator and have played saxophone for 15 years now. I also play clarinet and flute.Purchased this to replace a standard fabric Rovner.Gives clean, clear tone, not especially dark or overly bright. Keeps the reed firm and straight to the mouthpiece without the sliding a loose fabric lig can give. I use it with a Selmer S80 C* and a Meyer 5 or 6 for jazz depending on the gig. The best part is, it won't stretch out like the fabric ligs do.

We received this item on time and in mint condition. This item was ordered for my son who is a senior in high school and will be in a college marching band this fall. He was very happy with this order and has already used the item to make 1st band at All-Region and qualify for All-State.

This is a nice upgrade from a standard ligature. Don't plan on changing the adjustable piece very often- it is a pain in the rear, and chances are that you will really only like one of the three anyway. One thing I particularly like about this ligature is the single-screw tightening mechanism: it is easy to handle, and snugs up the reed nice and evenly. On the other hand, it does limit the adjustability of the ligature. I actually use the Alto ligature on my tenor (just the way the mouthpiece size worked out!). I have some reeds that do not work with this lig on my alto piece. In other words, it may or may not fit your mouthpiece- no guarantees.
