Good for vented enclosures only

I was just recently given a blown pair of these. My friend loaded them into a cerwin vega earthquake and thats not the right application for these drivers. They are not high wattage and do not have a reinforced cone. They are quite flimsy but work well with around 500 watts RMS max. I will use them to reload my blown harbinger hx118s cabinets which are only 300-600 watts.These subs have good and low bass but not the best by any means. I would give them a 4 star rating because they are a good value being under $200 if you use them in the right vented cabinet.I recommend them for anyone replacing a cheaper 18" sub that wants to upgrade just a little. If you want to really spice up your subwoofer cabinets buy the OMEGA PRO model. It hits a lower frequency, tighter response and wont blow until you hit way over 800 watts rms.
