Sherpa bag

An excellent product. My cat loved the furry base and immediately started to knead it. In the airport departure lounge I opened the top flap and he could sit up with his head out to have a look around.Likewise while he was under the plane seat I could put my hand in through the top to give him a stroke. I left all the side panels closed to make him feel safe and there was still plenty of ventilation through the top panels and the corners. The large side pocket is great for his grooming stuff (we were traveling to compete in a cat show) and my personal things as well.

I purchased this bag over two years ago and have been very satisfied with it. I use it on a regular basis to take my 5# Papillon to dog class and it looks as good as the day I purchased it. When we purchased our dog back in 2006, my husband took this bag with him on the plane to bring the dog home in. It fit nicely under the seat of the plane. The flaps on both ends and on the back side snap down for privacy and to keep drafts out. Or, you can roll the flaps up and clip them in place for ventilation. There is a nice pocket on the front side with lots of room for necessities. The zippers are high quality. The handles are very sturdy. An ID tag is included. Also included is a nice sherpa pad that velcros onto the slide out tray, plus an extra pad to lay over the front "door" when it is unzipped, turning the bag into a pet bed. While the bag is not tall enough for my dog to sit up, I do unzip the top two-way zipper enough for him to get his head out and he can take a little stretch. There is also a "D" ring on the inside to secure the dog when you do open the top zipper, so he can't jump out. This bag is easy to secure on your front car seat with the lap belt around the front of the bag and the latch put through the handles of the bag before securing the seatbelt. I highly recommend this bag for very small dogs. My dog can sleep in this bag curled up, but end to end there isn't a great deal of room. If in doubt, I'd order the next size up.

I really like this bag because it is well made and holds my large 14 lb. Tuxedo male cat comfortably. As I write this, the Frankman is sleeping in his new carrier and he usually screams when he sees the carrier. Will order another bag for my female 15 lb cat who barely fit into the same bag but in medium. Very happy with this purchase and my cat is even happier.
