Great Computer Workstation for the Price

Pros:1. Vastly superior and more durable than similarly priced particle board workstations which are junk2. Looks great once assembled3. Great value.4. Keyboard slide-out tray is actually fairly sturdy under normal typing pressures without any "bounce".5. Opening underneath table to get to all your computer cables, outlets, etc. is nice feature.6. Easy to assemble in (little more than an hour).Cons:1. Keyboard tray is somewhat narrow for a full size keyboard and a mouse. It's usable but another 1-2" in width would give the mouse more room. Not an issue for trackballs. The keyboard tray surface is 23 5/8" wide so measure your keyboard and subtract from this to see what's left for your mouse.2. Directions could be a little more clear especially when you install the slides for the keyboard tray. It;s not at all clear which holes in the slider to use. It probably doesn't matter but be sure to use the same ones on both sides.Also, some descriptions show this as "Oak" but I received "Cherry" which is what the picture seems to show.

Sturdy desk

Put this together in about 45 minutes by myself without even looking at the instructions! I actually received a Mayline desk.

I was able to assemble this desk quickly - probably around 45 minutes. I had one minor issue with a bolt not fitting but I was able to work around it. Not a big deal at all.As a gamer, I'm used to having my mouse at a high sensitivity setting, so I don't need a lot of room to move the mouse, but you would be wise to check to make sure this isn't a problem for you. The bottom tray where the tower goes was slightly dented but that doesn't matter to me. Also, the tower does not really fit the "normal" way - I had to put it on the tray sideways, but I was already planning on doing this. It makes reaching the cables easier and I don't have a CD/DVD drive in my computer, so having the tower sideways was not a problem.The included instructions are not anything special, but you should have a general idea of what goes where just by looking at the desk. The two pieces that need to be together - the metal side of the desk and the pullout tray that attaches to the metal side - are all individually labeled, so you can't mess that up. I forget how the letters go exactly, but say, for example, that the sides are A and B and the tray sliders are C and D, and that A and C go together, as well as B and D. I didn't notice this initially, but I attached the pieces correctly just by looking at them.Overall, solid desk. Time will tell how it holds up.
