5Better than the Similac preemie formula
By Jessica M. Sloan
This formula is for premature infants for weight gain. Do not buy it for term babies unless directed to do so by your baby's doctor. It is expensive, but my little guy has grown well on it. The NICU gave us Similac, but that made him very gassy. He gets two bottles of this formula daily. His other bottles are breastmilk or regular formula. Do not use it for all feedings as it is highly concentrated and can actually cause your baby to become dehydrated.

5Expensive but good
By Robert Rodgers
My twin daughters who were born premature have been on Enfacare since birth, and it has helped them to gain weight at a nice rate. They both seem to enjoy it and have had no negative reactions. While more expensive than other formula, I believe the health benefits to be worth it.

5Expensive, but worth it
By FC1
There are no generic versions of the two formulas for preemies (EnfaCare and Similac's NeoSure As it happens, my children hated the taste of Similar (perhaps because they got EnfaCare during their six-week NICU stay after being born two months early), so we went back to EnfaCare after using free Similac for a week. It sure seems to be working - they've gone from 5th percentile to 35th percentile for full-term singleton babies (which they were not :)
