Maxim Lighting quality control: DISMAL

I recently purchased a quantity of 7 (seven) Maxim outdoor light fixtures on a special order through authorized dealer Lighting Specialists located in Midvale, Utah.After spending $850.00, I thought it reasonable to expect fairly decent product quality, and that I would not have to spend time and materials completing and correcting factory construction & assembly errors.Issues:-None of the hardware in any of the 7 fixtures had been properly tightened; some hardware was not even "finger-tight".-Some fixtures had been simply drilled and assembled incorrectly. Example: One of the 85013LTES fixtures did not even have the upper connecting tube hole drilled in the proper location on the base. The result was the fixture had been assembled with the connecting tube leaning at an angle (again, without any hardware being properly tightened as well).-Some fixtures were missing hardware, and this hardware was nowhere to be found in the packaging. Example: Both of the 85015LTES fixtures were missing the large metric machine screw that secures the lower end of the curved hanger to the base plate. Another example: Two of the three 85013LTES fixtures were missing the hex nut that secures the lower connecting tube to the base plate.None of our future re-modeling jobs will involve lighting fixtures from Maxim.

Very Attractive and great value!

These lights were purchased for a bathroom renovation and I could not be more pleased. The fixtures are well made, have beautiful glass, and are very attractive. I receive many compliments on this purchase. The price is substantially lower than other sites.

Although this light has not been installed yet, I was quite suprised when I opened the box. First, the shipping was fast, and the product was packaged well. I was skeptical about buying a lighting fixture on line, I prefer to see items in person. I could not be happier when I took this light out of the box for inspection. It is so much nicer and prettier than it looks on line. It has beautiful scroll design that holds the light shades which I could not see in the on line picture. I could not be happier.It's style said it is victorian, but I am using it as european which will fit in with the rest of my decor perfectly. I can't wait to get it installed which I'm sure I will repost after it is up and working!
