1Not sturdy
By Jenny
I bought this walker for my dad who has some difficulty walking. A 4-wheeled rolling walker doesn't provide the kind of support and stability that my father needs, so those were out. A standard walker has no seat. I thought this Duro-Med 2-wheel walker+seat would be the perfect solution. Shipping was fine and everything was pretty well packaged. Minimal assembly required - that is, putting the handlebars on. It's also fairly lightweight and folds up easily for transport in the trunk of a compact car like mine (Toyota Corolla).I ended up returning the walker and I'm giving this item one-star for a couple reasons.1) The handlebars did not stay tightened after assembly. I tried and tried to get them to stay put, but no matter how hard I tightened the mechanism, they would still swivel from side to side and even more dangerously, they would actually sink down when pressure was applied while walking. Certainly not ideal for someone like my dad who needs something sturdy to help him stay upright while walking.2) It does not glide on surfaces as well as one would hope. Inside on carpet, it was okay. Outside on a sidewalk or on asphalt, the walker did not perform that well.

5Excellent walker for tall person
By J. Curtis
My dad is 6' 2" so he needs a good solid walker that has only 2 wheels. The "old style" 2 wheeled walker seemed like it could tip forward based on his larger stride and I really wanted one with a seat on it in case he got tired. The walkers with seats are typically the 4 wheeled walkers and I didn't want to get one of those as he relies on the walker too much for a 4 wheeled. This was the perfect combination of what I was looking for. It folds up really easy so you can put it on behind the passenger seat in my car. It's very well constructed and the handles adjust up and down based on your height. As I mentioned he's 6' 2" so the bars are adjusted to the top of their limit and there's no flex in it at all. The bars are all very well constructed and the grips are a molded plastic so it fits nicely in your palm. I bought some cheap tennis balls at the local store and cut a slit in them to cover the rubber skids on the back legs and it works great. Would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a 2 wheeled walker.
