Solid and Reliable

Having owned both the GPDS Pro and regular djembe stands from Gibraltar for several years, I can say with certainty that the GPDS Pro is a much better model.It's made of sturdier, weighty materials and has a much improved design and stability. I've used it at times to support 12" and 14" Remo djembes.If I had to choose between the two Gibraltar models, I would spend the extra for the GPDS Pro without hesitation.

I bought this because I like to stand up when I play. I have a 16 in Djembe and this holds it steady. The drum can fall out though if you are not careful, so make sure it is leaning the right way. The claws should be facing you.I havent had any problems with the stand moving around while playing either, and I play fairly hard.
