The Rubbermaid Commercial 2650 universal drum dolly has an HDPE frame and swivel caster wheels, and can be used to transport a Rubbermaid Commercial 2655 Brute container or a 55-gallon drum (sold separately). The dolly is made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene), which is resistant to dents, wear, and corrosion. It is structural foam molded for impact and weather resistance and has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than items produced using other injection molding methods. The caster wheels swivel for maneuverability. This dolly has a load capacity of 500 pounds, weighs 28.2 lb., and measures 7-1/8 inches high and 24-3/8 inches in diameter. Rugged dolly for anything round

My water softener has separate brine and resin tanks. The salt tank holds 450# of salt and is located in a basement closet and sits directly in front of the water meter. To ensure access to the meter and other plumbing, i put the salt tank on this nifty heavy duty dolly so I can roll it out of the way if I have to. I usually empty and completely rinse out the salt tank every two years. The dolly makes it easy to roll the nearly empty tank to the outside basement stairs and then handtruck it up to the driveway.Just be aware that the dolly has a solid bottom with a hump in the center that makes the horizontal service convex. You may need to fashion an adapter ring to avoid having your tank tilt.The manufacturer should have made the top surface concave instead of convex. Dumb move. I made my adapter out of a 2" thick piece of polyfoam packing material I had lying around. It's just a ring of foam packing that fits inside the dolly's edge with the center six inches cut out.
