5Great Price for Quality Seiko Watch
By Mark1City
This is a heavy, quality-built, good-looking, big Seiko. For me, it has all the basic features I like, especially large hands so that I can easily read the time when my hand is farthest from my eyes, day or night (glows well). It has the look and feel of the expensive brands, but at an Amazon BARGAIN price! The stainless steel of the band and the watch have a dressy, polished satin finish. The face is about 1.5" in diameter and 3/8" thick. The band is 3/4" wide and 1/8" thick. The outside timer dial rotates counterclockwise. Manual says battery has a 3-year life. I've always had good luck with the mid-upper line of Seiko's, and I look forward to the same with this one, too!

4Reliable watch with solid feel
By Edward C. Lu
This is a solid, heavy watch. The movement is very accurate (and precise, if you are fussy about the distinction), although the alarm setting can be +/- one minute. The alarm is easy to set and emits a pleasant pinging, audible indoors but barely registers on a city street. The main disadvantage is that the crown does not screw down; after a month of wearing the watch, I bumped into a doorway and tore the crown off and had to send it for repair under the warranty (speedy service and turn-around). Before this, I wore a TagHeuer and find this watch better in legibility (esp. at night, with a bright glow even at at dawn),precision, and security of the clasp. The uni-directional ratcheting bezel broke on my Tag even after several repairs and is basically unreliable; on the Seiko, it is firm (but the polished finish on the edge makes it slippery to turn). Some of the black markers on the bezel have chipped off, which seems so improbably cheap - I'm waiting for the rest to go so it will look uniform. Other reviews have noted the watchband as lightweight; the solid link band on my Tag is heavier (and costs $300 to replace!), but the pin that secures it to the watch is "the weakest link" and not any better than the Seiko. Basically, I love this watch and for the price, feel confident wearing it for whatever activity, all day, every day for years to come.
