Excellent For measuring In-Rush!!!

I already have the HVAC kit from FLUKE that includes the HVAC-R Meter and clamp on meter. As I expand the types of service I perform I sadly realized the Fluke clamp on DOES NOT take inrush voltage/amps etc. The stand alone clamp meter that does from them is over $300!!! All of the Extech "EX" series clamp-on's do and at a SUPER reasonable price. I choose the mid-line EX720 because it also can read temps, now with the Fluke kit I already own I can take subcool and superheat at the same time if the need arises. I am still getting usedto the functions of this meter, I have been using it on service calls for a few months now and it does auto range a bit more that a Fluke but comparing readings on known equipment I am pleased to say they are both of the same accuracy. It is a durable unit that is definitely designed for the professional user. It came with a thermo-probe, case w/belt clip, and leads ...sorry no alligators but my Fluke alligators fit [a bit loosely]. All in all VERY pleased as it allows me to do pre/post inrush readings on service calls to properly document clients equipment on my invoices. It has nearly paid for its self! The next time I am looking for diagnostic equipment like this Extech and Amazon will be my first stop!
