Portable, Accurate Unit

This unit is portable and reliably accurate. I use it for verifying real-time temperature & dew-point data from my Davis Vantage Vue weather station and the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) at the airport. However, I wish the unit uses double "A" batteries instead of 9-volt battery.

The unit responds fairly quickly. It is very useful in checking ambient conditions of experiments, or stick in the oven to verify the temperature.

This product was exactly what I needed. We offer habitat consultations for a veterinary business, and I need something that can give me a constant update on humidity & ambient air temperature to go with the other readings I am taking in an animals environment. It comes in a protective case that also seems like it will hold up well to our "on-the-move" jobs. I plan to use this device when I go into the field to look at temperature & humidity levels when documenting animal behavior. I understand this is not the most common use for the product, but I wanted to share that it works for a specialized need.
