Well built AC DC motor.

This Dayton #2M145 AC DC 1/2 Hp 115 volt electric motor is well built and gets the job done. Smooth, quiet operation, ball bearing, 3/8 dia shaft, make this motor a winner. This motor runs cooler than the smaller AC DC electric motors I have used before. Available in CCW rotation only, however if you reverse the wiring on the brushes, which I did, it will run CW just fine. It is a non standard frame motor with threaded holes for mounting on the flat side of the motor. I just used hose clamps to mount the motor, no problem. Also this motorDayton Universal AC/DC Open Motor 1/2 hp 10,000 RPM 115 volts Rotation CCW # 2M145is made in the USA or at least this is what it said on the box. If you are looking for a variable speed 1/2 HP AC DC 115 volt electric motor for your project, then this is the motor you want to use.
