Product Description
The Medweigh MS-2510 high capacity digital platform scale has a maximum capacity of 1000 lbs with an accuracy of 0.2 pounds. This high capacity scale features Unit, Hold, Tare, and Zero on/off. The user can select default settings to meet their particular needs: set default weighing mode to either pounds or kilograms, or set the time delay to the time you wish the scale to remain on before auto off. A low battery indication will display on the LCD display when the rechargeable battery power is insufficient to power the scale. A black rubber mat is included with the MedWeigh MS-2510.

Better than the scale at my doctors office.

I purchased this scale and have been using it since May 2006. It is of high quality and is wide enough for overweight people with wide hips to use comfortably. It has been used by people well in excess of 500lbs for all that time. After more than five years use its surfaces are as clean and scuff and mark free as the day it arrived. The display is large enough for people with poor eyesight to read with ease. The buttons are also well marked with large lettering.A little background.There are some big people in my family myself included and thats not the only reason to purchase this scale. This scale is far more accurate than most doctors office medical scales. I know it is. After having purchased this scale there were a couple of times I had doctors office visits at more than one office on the same day. One visit immediately following the other. I had to be weighed at each office and my weight was often 25-35lbs or more different from each other. I found this to be true even when the doctors offices just down the street from each other. Fast forward a few years. My primary care physician purchased a high quality bariatric scale that looks like mine and my be the same model. Now when I weigh myself at home before going to the Dr. it matches exactly with my doctors scale. I told my doctor about it and asked what he paid for his. He told me he paid $ 999.95 for the scale in his office and its no better than mine.

I use this to weigh drums of maple syrup. It is precies to 2/10 of a pound and consistently accurate. The barrels weigh 500 to 700lbs and is durable enough to handle frequent use.I simply drive the barrels up with a barrel dolly and tare out the weight of the dolly beforehand.I highly recommend this product. Much easier to use and more accurate then a beam scale. Plus I can throw it in the car when I need to bring it somewhere for use.
