Too good to be true

I have purchased approximately 10 pairs of Finn comfort shoes over the last 15 years. I have never paid less than $240 for any pair until now where the price was only $130. Several styles had similar prices on Amazon. I purchased one pair, received the delivery on time, and verified the shoes were as 1st quality, genuine, and fit. A true bargain! Upon receiving these shoes, I immediately ordered another pair.Finn Comfort shoes are most comfortable. They have a cork removable innersoul with an arch support which is ideal for anyone who spends alot of time on their feet, or suffer from heal spurs or Plantar Fasciitis. They are "The worlds most comforttable walking shoe". My favorite Finn Comfort style is the Vassa which is secured only at the top allowing for movement within the shoe and a footbed which becomes molded to fit your foot.A few negatives include the rubber soul which wears away fairly fast and inconsistant sizing. Mephisto shoes have long lasting rubber souls, but are considerably more pricy, and most styles do not have the removable innersoul with the arch support.The sizing is not consistant between those having european sizing and those having british sizing. Shoes having the european sizing are typically undersized and those having the the UK sizing are oversized. For example, I wear european size 43 and UK size 9. Another negative is that very few retailers carry this brand and most sales in the US occur online. Therefore it is not easy to try-on shoes prior to purchasing online.Considering both negative and positive attributes, I still rank these shoes with 5 stars.

My job requires me to be on my feet all day, so support and comfort are essential. After numerous custom-made orthotics, with little results and continuous foot pains, I tried on a pair of Finn Comfort shoes. It took a bit of getting used to the extra support. In fact, the company recommends that you gradually increasing the amount of time you wear these shoes daily. The end result is well worth it. These are an expensive pair of shoes, but if you suffer from foot pains, and plantar fascia, then you will be glad to spend the money. You will be hard-pressed to find a better-made pair of shoes. They are engineered to be re-soled and extra insoles are available through Amazon. The craftsmanship and comfort is unparalleled.

Great workmanship, wrong size

I am acquainted with the Finn Comfort store owner in one of the Asian countries. They cost there 3-4 TIMES more as compared to what I paid. I bought these on sale for $121 - a great bargain. However, my American size is 11. I bought it, the size that arrived was 10.5, and the shoes were still too large. I went back to that store, and they told me that my size is 9.5, and the shoes are the wrong shape for my leg (which in large part defeats the purpose of orthopaedic shoes). According to them, the Finn Comfort size system doesn't match the US system. Now I have the shoes that are at least 1 size too large. I had extra sole layer inserted in my shoes, so now they feel better, but not perfect.
