Right choice

The Name threw me but this was exactly what I wanted. It is small. It turns on only when it detects a signal from my apple TV. I hooked my Apple TV Digital outs to my main AMP for TV and 5.1 sound in the living room.I then used the standard RCA jacks of the apple TV for this. It sounds great. Much better than a cheap amp with more watts. The 40 watts are just 2 much for my 2 pair of speakers around the house. I turned the dials on the JS amp back to about 70% and the remote speakers sound great and fill the room with sound. I control everything from my iPhone. Way better than Sonos. The iPhone is far better a remote than anything Sonus will ever develop.

The JobSite A45-X2 is a well-made, rugged amp. The switchable auto turn-on/off feature works perfectly; when it "hears" an audio signal, it turns on within a few seconds. A couple of minutes after the music (or TV sound, whatever) stops, the amp shuts off. Also, the handy left/right level controls on the front panel work well and are easy to adjust with a small screwdriver. All switches and connectors are good quality and you don't have to worry about a "popping" sound coming from your speakers if you turn the amp on manually with its power button: In either manual or auto mode, a built-in relay has to kick in before any sound is sent to the speakers.

I replaced an aging amplifier with the JobSite A45-X2. It works as advertised. The sound quality was very good and easily met our requirements. The vendor was prompt. We had no problems with the order.
